Here’s the Prophix Product Adoption Tip for September of 2020

You can add links to templates on a report you’re viewing. You can add one link to a template per template object.
What are template objects?
Template objects are the nodes you see on the left panel. They include rows, columns, cells, auto text charts, and images. If you clone an object like a rows or column, the clone is treated as a separate object.
How do I link the template?
Select the object you want to link the template to and click the link button.
Or right click the object.
The file select dialogue will appear.
Select the template you want, and a mapping section will open. Here you will be able to dictate which page this linked template will open in.
Click ok. You will be able to determine which object has a linked template by the chain icon beside it.
Click save and it’s ready.
Now that the template is linked, how do I launch the linked template?
In either Data Entry mode or Report mode simply right click the object and a linked template option should appear.
Click that and the template will open in it default mode.
Another creative way to use this is to use this in conjunction with images or Auto text.
You can have an auto text that says something like “right click here” or Text that has a name of a particular report or have a image of a button and you can essentially kinda make them like hyperlinks
This is an excellent tip. I like to add my Linked Templates as an Auto-Text and format the text in blue text/blue underline, to mimic a hyperlink so that it stands out to the user as “click here”.
As well - you can add more than 1 Linked Template to a report!
