I have created a dashboard, just wondering if i have to manually link it to our SQL network or if it would be easier to just upload a report every month. Wondering what you all think?
Excited to hear the responses
Hi Dawar,
As part of your implementation, you should be able to setup integration to your ERP systems. This will enable all your data to be pulled from your source.
Thanks,
Navin
Looking forward to reading the suggestions.
When we built the forecasting models in Prophix, we set it up to connect to our SQL server to pull the data. However, due to Prophix using MySQL, there is a process that needs to run to move the data from SQL server to MySQL and requires manual intervention. This process needs to run anytime data needs to be moved into Prophix.
Linking to a SQL network is something that needs to be done once, then it’s good to go. Manually uploading a report every month seems to defeat the purpose of Prophix. Sorry if this is stating the obvious. You should be able to get the required technical support from Prophix to link to your SQL Network. Good luck!
Manually update is too much of a hassle, it is best to integrate with your ERP systems which is effective and efficient at the same time. It is one time big effort, but after that you save so much of time and less stress too.
