Looking forward to this, the idea of 22 cubes at the moment makes my brain hurt so will be great to see how it can be managed and add value to businesses

I was not able to attend your presentation, but I am curious if you have ever utilized employee time tracking data within any of your cubes? We currently use this to allocate salary and benefit expense.

Hi Phillip - I would build a new cube when the dimension members needed to be different. If the dimensions and dimension members and the same, then a new version is in order. There is no need to maintain additional cubes and dimensions when you already have a cube with the appropriate ones available.

yes, I’ve had time clock data tied into a Prophix model as well as ADP payroll data tied info a Prophix model. Once you pull in the actual data, you can use the proper groupings to easily develop the allocation using info flex functions.

I really enjoyed your session especially the tips about where to get inspiration for creating cubes. I noticed in your presentation slides with multiple cubes there was a cube you’d created for daily sales and you also had a Sales cube. What’s the difference between the two types of cubes?

We have created 6 cubes and thought that it was a lot, but 22 definitely is an achievement :slight_smile:
