Some months ago our organisation hosted Stephen Addison, the founder of http://boxupcrime.org. Inspired in 2012 from the loss of valued friends due to gang affiliation and crime, Stephen launched the project ‘Box Up Crime’ in 2013, a new initiative which provides social change though social innovation, using sports – in particular boxing, as a tool to inspire, educate and develop young individuals, specifically those who have been involved in crime.

Very cool. Had a roommate at the University of Alabama who had never rowed before and got on the row team and did very very well. Tough sport.

In my company we encourage employees to speak about their own personal achievements. This really helped encourage conversations and discussion across the organisation which was great to see. Makes you realise people have great stories to tell you just need to find time to listen

We are lucky enough within our own organization to have a great thought leader, Mike Hemphill. He always presents at our annual all staff meetings and is able to get our team thinking about how we can continue to be inspired by the work we do/support and finding new ways to connect with our co-workers.

That’s so awesome! My last company had motivational speakers once a month and they were the worst we always dreaded them. Never a good take-away

I once heard Lou Holtz speak at a conference. He is the best motivational speaker I have heard.

The founder of kind snacks, Daniel Lubetzky was a guest speaker at my former company. It was very inspiring to hear about his journey and the company’s various initiatives/projects to pay it forward.

Those guys are so intense. I’ve watched Jocco Willink speak a few times, but never had the pleasure to see him in-person.

Felt the need to share Kid President this morning.
